Current course:
February 2011 - March 2013
The course "Advanced Studies in Applied Statistics" at ETH Zurich is aimed at scientists - especially from the natural and technical sciences - for whom statistical data analysis forms an integral part of their work. In it, students learn about a wide-ranging selection of statistical methods for data analysis and modelling.
This course can either be completed after 15 months at the certificate level, or students can continue to a total of 2 years to obtain an Advanced Studies diploma.
In this course, a total of about 350 hours of classes are taught on around 60 days of teaching. These take place from February 2011 to February 2013. Classes generally take place on Mondays; the introductory module in the first spring semester, however, will be taught on Thursdays. The course starts every second year, with the spring semester in years with odd numbers.
In principle in it also possible to participate in individual modules rather than the whole course. However, this is subject to the availability of places in these modules and to a positive assessment of academic suitability by the Advanced Studies director.
More information on this course can be found in our prospectus for costs and dates, see the Administrative section.
