"Almgren's Q-valued functions revisited"
In this talk we revisit Almgren's theory of Q-valued Dir-minimizing
functions. In particular, we suggest a "metric" point of view which
allows us to recover all main Almgren's results in a more intrinsic way;
and we present an improved estimate for the singular set of planar
Dir-minimizing functions, showing it consists of isolated points.
