Recognition of courses/study achievement external to the programme

1. Submission deadline

Requests must reach the Study Administration Office by the end of the fourth week of the semester.

2. Form

Please fill out this application (PDF, 112 kB; open using Acrobat Reader) and send it, together with a copy of the catalogue data, to the Study Administration Office by the deadline.

3. D-GESS subjects

According to Point 8 of this directive (PDF, 40 kB) students may include courses which are not on the list of D-GESS electives.

1. Submit a request to the Study Administration Office using the application form.
2. If the request is approved, please inform Ms Viola Gloor, D-GESS, by mail (with copy).
3. The D-GESS Teaching Committee for Electives will decide officially what may or may not apply.
4. For courses offered by other universities the D-GESS Teaching Committee for Electives will designate an applicable number of credits.

4. University of Zurich registration procedures

Students from other universities, especially ETH Zurich, who wish to attend modules of the University of Zurich Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Bachelor/Master programmes for ECTS credit must register at the University of Zurich Registrar’s Office. Please see the information sheet (592 kB - German only) and use the attached form (70 kB - German only).
